Grid

Software

Here is a list of software I am or have been working on:

Software

Together with a friend, we are currently working on a Grid middleware. It is still in development, but here are a few characteristics:

  • 100% Java
  • Lightweight: designed to be easy to configure, deploy and use.
  • Robust data architecture: based on BitTorrent and FTP.
  • Integrated simulator

The software is already used for some private work and another PhD thesis. More information on the project's temporary page.

My publications

This is a list of my own publications, usually as a co-author (because I worked on them, not because of a form of recognition).

Related publications

Here is a list of publications related to Grid computing, in no particular order, in case you would like to have more information on the subject (and because I could use a centralized list of articles I find interesting).

What is Grid computing?

Ian Foster has a really general 4 pages article on the subject. That article is a widely accepted definition of the Grid, even if its focus of decentralization excludes some softwares commonly considered as related to Grid computing.

Grid computing

I first started working on Grid Computing (more specifically, Peer-to-Peer Grid computing) when I did my licence/master thesis. Since then, I continued working on the topic:

About me

Long things short

I was born in the mid-eighties in the French-speaking part of Belgium, got a Master in Computer Science with honors in 2007 (actually, it was a license, but the named switched since then without much change in the actual program). I then worked for two years as a teaching assistant and researcher at the EECS department of the University of Liège.
